I am very pleased to have participated in the European Week of Regions and Cities, having been invited by the Greater Copenhagen EU Office DK. My talk, "Nature and the City" on biophilic human-centred design and European cities - within the workshop "What Makes Cities Work? participatory lab on Rethinking Innovation, Belonging and EU Funding in City Futures" - was built on the following pillars:

- To safeguard and promote European cultural heritage.

- To improve architectural legacy ´s protection, enhancement and restoration

- To boost a behaviour social transformation.

- To contribute to a green transition and to raise a nature protection awareness.

The main aim was to invite the audience - mainly citizens and their representatives - to take action all together to achieve a better and sustainable future for all.

Through facilitated dialogue and networking, we invited participants to engage in a critical conversation on these questions. Anchored in the New European Bauhaus values of sustainable, beautiful and inclusive spaces, we explored the social and historical layers that make cities thrive. Ultimately, the session aimed to contribute to the emerging EU Agenda for Cities.

It was wonderful to see how involved the participants were in the ideas that emerged, and how we all collaborated to inform recommendations for the EU cities agenda and the 2028-34 EU budget.
